Miami Sysco Warehouse Workers Choose Teamster Representation

Continuing Our Organizing Sweep of Florida Sysco Distribution Centers Sysco workers notched another union election victory on Thursday August 8, 2019 after 130 warehouse workers voted for Teamsters Local 769 representation. The workers join 132 drivers at Sysco South Florida who won their election to join our union in February. Coca-Cola Beverages Florida Workers Join Teamsters Local 769

Drivers at South Dade Facility Vote Overwhelmingly in Favor of the Union (Miami) Drivers at Coca-Cola Beverages Florida's (CCFB) South Dade facility voted today by a three-to-one margin to join Teamsters Local 769. Of the 48 eligible voters, 47 participated in representation election. "This is another win for freedom and democracy," said Jorge Castillo, a CCBF driver who emigrated to the U.S. from Cuba. Drivers and Dockworkers Stand Strong Against XPO’s Anti-Union Violations

Teamsters that work at XPO Logistics in Miami returned to work on April 10th following a successful unfair labor practice (ULP) strike that began the previous morning. The 70 drivers and dockworkers were taking a stand against XPO’s continued anti-union behavior that has resulted in the filing of numerous ULP charges including ones for denying raises for which the company was ordered to pay by an administrative law judge. FreshPoint Drivers Say Yes to Teamster Representation

The voting began Thursday night at 11pm and on Friday morning August 26th, when the votes were counted, Teamsters Local 769 had 101 new brothers and sisters. Fleet Mechanics at Sysco in West Palm Beach Win BIG!

On Thursday August 18, 2016 Fleet Mechanics at the West Palm Beach Florida Sysco Foods facility voted unanimously for Teamster representation. Their victory came less than 6 months after drivers at the same facility had voted to join Teamsters Local 769. In recent years, Sysco has been mistreating its workers nationwide. Drivers at Sysco SEF Vote for Teamster Representation

In a major victory, Sysco workers in West Palm Beach voted to join Teamsters Local 769 in Miami. First Transit Para-transit Drivers WIN!

Workers at First Transit in Broward County voted by an overwhelming 82.5% for Teamster representation on Friday April 8th, 2016. The bargaining unit, which consist of nearly 120 para-transit drivers, is contracted by Broward County to provide services to primarily elderly and special needs citizens who need transportation to medical appointments, shopping and other essential locations. Today, May 6, 2015, the Dispatchers and Mechanics of Keolis Transit America Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida unanimous voted "YES" to join our Brothers and Sisters at Teamsters Local 769.
