On Thursday August 18, 2016 Fleet Mechanics at the West Palm Beach Florida Sysco Foods facility voted unanimously for Teamster representation. Their victory came less than 6 months after drivers at the same facility had voted to join Teamsters Local 769. In recent years, Sysco has been mistreating its workers nationwide. While increasing its profits off the backs of its hardworking employees the company spends countless thousands on union busters to keep their workers from getting what they deserve. First Transit Para-transit Drivers WIN!

  Workers at First Transit in Broward County  voted by an overwhelming 82.5% for Teamster representation on Friday April 8th, 2016. The bargaining unit, which consist of nearly 120 para-transit drivers, is contracted by Broward County to provide services to primarily elderly and special needs citizens who need transportation to medical appointments, shopping and other essential locations. Cummins Teamsters Ratify NEW 3 Year Contract

On Tuesday November 17, 2015 Teamsters Local 769 members at Cummins in Miami unanimously ratified a new 3 year agreement. The bargaining unit, which consists of diesel mechanics, the parts department and warehouse workers, have long been members of Teamsters Local 769. The diesel mechanics service engines for Miami-Dade Transit and public school buses and their marine division provides yacht service throughout the Caribbean. Highlights of the new contract include a 9% wage increase over the 3 year term and improvements to both the pension and health and welfare. 1st AmeriGas CSR Contract

On March 10, 2015, the Customer Service Representatives at AmeriGas in Broward voted unanimously to ratify their very first contract. Back in November of 2014, the CSR's had voted for Teamster representation at the Broward County facility. The main reasons were that they were looking to be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace and they were seeking the addition of the grievance procedure to ensure job security. Big Victory at Avis/Budget

Teamsters Local 769 is proud to announce another organizing victory. Yesterday an election was held for the Avis Budget Group at the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Airports. Of the 132 total employees Teamsters received 82 votes. The IAM (Machinist) got 2 and the company got 2. This election was not even close. We are proud to welcome these new members to Local 769.
