Teamsters at IMEX Ratify First Contract

On Saturday, July 16, 2022, Teamster members at IMEX, in three Florida locations, voted to ratify a three-year agreement which is their first since organizing their Union just over a year ago. IMEX workers handle the loading and unloading of cargo from trains at the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Jacksonville railyards. Many of those cargo containers are transported to and from the railyard by Teamsters who work for employers like UPS, Crowley, YRC, ABF, and others. South Florida Freshpoint Teamsters Ratify NEW 4-Year Contract

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Teamsters at Freshpoint in Pompano Beach, Florida, ratified a new 4-year contract which includes significant wage improvements, increased number of personal days, Martin Luther King Holiday, and improved discipline language. Members at Freshpoint fought to join the Teamsters back in 2016, and this agreement is the second contract these workers will enjoy since demanding representation. Teamsters Local 769 has grown accustomed to negotiating with Sysco, the parent company of Freshpoint since we represent nearly all Sysco employees within our Local Union's jurisdiction. On Saturday, Jul 10, 2021workers at XPO in Miami made history by voting unanimously to approve their first-ever Teamster contract and the first contract at XPO Logistics in the nation. On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, public sector members at the City of Fort Pierce ratified a new 3 year contract which includes an 8% increase for all workers in the first year of the agreement and additional incentive pay increases for sanitation workers. Allegiant Air First Collective Bargaining Agreement Now Headed to Vote

The Teamsters have reached an agreement in principle for 415 mechanics and related classifications at Allegiant Air. After the agreement in principle is finalized between the union and the company, it will be put out for a ratification vote by Teamsters at Allegiant which is expected to occur sometime by the end of July of this year. The Teamsters had already represented pilots and dispatchers at the Allegiant and were certified as the group’s exclusive representative on March 7, 2018.
