Victory at Con-Way Freight in Miami

Employees at Con-Way Freight in Miami voted to join the Teamsters yesterday and Teamsters Local 769 would like to congratulate our newest members. Local 769 President and Principal Officer Mike Scott said of the victory, "I am so proud of our newest members. These men and women took on their employer for a better life for their families. Teamsters Local 769 members at the City of Fort Lauderdale ratified their new contract by a margin of 402 yes to 22 no votes. Victory at Amerigas Broward CSR

Another 769 organizing victory this month. This one at Amerigas CSR in Broward. Teamsters Local 769 would like to welcome our newest members who voted 6 to 1 for strong Teamsters representation. The main reason the customer service representatives for Amerigas voted for Teamster representation at the Broward County facility was they were looking to be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace. Some of the employees working at that location have been employed for over 15 years and were seeking the addition the grievance procedure to ensure their job security. A Salute to Our Service Men and Women

Teamsters Local 769 has always shown strong support for all of our returning military service men and women and have always worked to be involved in programs that welcome them home and show them how thankful we are for their service, A little over a year ago at one of our General Membership Meetings, Business Agent David Renshaw introduced the membership of Local 769 to the iPods for Wounded Veterans organization and the Dear Soldier Campaign. VICTORY at Keolis Transit America

Employees Seek Fair Wages, and better working conditions. Drivers at Keolis Transit America Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida voted to become Teamsters on Thursday, November 6, 2014. The election was held by the National Labor Board and there are 76 Bus Drivers in the bargaining unit.
