A year ago, when workers at Maruti Fleet and Management voted unanimously to become members of Teamsters Local 769. Among the many things they were seeking was job security, seniority rights and a voice on the job. Drivers at Sysco SEF Vote for Teamster Representation

  In a major victory, Sysco workers in West Palm Beach voted to join Teamsters Local 769 in Miami. First Transit Para-transit Drivers WIN!

  Workers at First Transit in Broward County  voted by an overwhelming 82.5% for Teamster representation on Friday April 8th, 2016. The bargaining unit, which consist of nearly 120 para-transit drivers, is contracted by Broward County to provide services to primarily elderly and special needs citizens who need transportation to medical appointments, shopping and other essential locations. UAL Teamsters Escalate Picketing and Warn of Possible Strikes

On February 26, 2016, hundreds of United Airlines mechanics picketed at the San Francisco, Los Angeles (LAX), Newark, LaGuardia, Washington Dulles, Cleveland, Boston Logan and Orlando airports, to educate passengers about the possibility of upcoming strikes. Last week, mechanics voted down United’s contract proposal by 93 percent. Mechanics also voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for scholarship  awards.  The deadline for receipt of completed materials is March 31, 2016. Materials have been sent to every local union in the US and Canada, but if you would like to download the materials, please see the link below. Orlando UAL Mechanics Protest Contract Offer

February 19, 2016, hundreds of United Airlines mechanics protested the airline’s contract offer by picketing outside key maintenance bases at the San Francisco, Houston and Orlando airports. The above video is of members of Teamsters Local 769 at Orlando International Airport. The Teamsters Union is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of Sierra Shields. Shields, a flight attendant with Shuttle America for Delta and United Airlines flights, and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, has been missing since Jan. 14, 2016.
