On Saturday, Jul 10, 2021workers at XPO in Miami made history by voting unanimously to approve their first-ever Teamster contract and the first contract at XPO Logistics in the nation. It was a long road to get to this point as their journey began well over 6 years ago, way back when their company was still named Con-way Freight. Sysco Warehouse Workers & Drivers Ratify First Contracts

In a near unanimous vote, our Teamsters Local 769 brothers and sisters at Sysco in Miami have ratified their first contracts. Despite the challenging climate posed by coronavirus closures, the one-year agreements include important protections for workers: just cause language, layoff and recall rights for furloughed workers, as well as seniority and wage protections for the warehouse workers and drivers. "Given the terrible situation facing these workers and the country as a whole, this contract is important because of the layoff language and recall rights," said Josh Zivalich, Local 769 President. Teamsters Local 769, on June 15, 2018, was certified as the exclusive bargaining representative for Borden Dairy Company of Florida, LLC. (case# 12-RC-219958) The parties have met  in an effort to negotiate a contract on September 12, October 17, November 8, December 10, 2018 and February 13, February 20, 2019 to date. Attention Coca-Cola members, Teamsters Local 769, on July 3, 2018, was certified as the exclusive bargaining representative for Coca-Cola Beverages of Florida, LLC. (case# 12-RC-220821) The parties have met  in an effort to negotiate a contract on September 6, September 13, October 10, November 13, December 19, 2018 and January 16, February 6, February 13, 2019 to date. UPS & UPS Freight Members Authorize Strikes If Necessary

UPS and UPS Freight Teamsters have approved giving their respective negotiating committees the right to call a strike, if necessary. The UPS members authorized a strike, if necessary, by a 93 percent margin. At UPS Freight, the margin was 91 percent. The vote was conducted by electronic secret ballot and the tally was released tonight.
