Allegiant Air First Collective Bargaining Agreement Now Headed to Vote

The Teamsters have reached an agreement in principle for 415 mechanics and related classifications at Allegiant Air. After the agreement in principle is finalized between the union and the company, it will be put out for a ratification vote by Teamsters at Allegiant which is expected to occur sometime by the end of July of this year. The Teamsters had already represented pilots and dispatchers at the Allegiant and were certified as the group’s exclusive representative on March 7, 2018. Allegiant Air Contract Update

Brothers and Sisters, The IBT International Negotiating Team met on 8/20 thru 8/22 to finish putting together the framework of what will be your first Teamster Contract. We were able to complete the framework and have scheduled meetings with the rank and file negotiating committee members 10/23 and 10/24 to begin crafting the language we will use in face to face bargaining with the company. Once we have prepared our documents we will schedule meetings with the company’s negotiators and begin the process. AAY Negotiating Survey Now Open

Brothers and Sisters, The AAY negotiating survey is now open. We will keep it open from July 9 through July 23. Once we’ve had a chance to compile all of the survey responses, we can start building the framework of what will be your first contract. We will work with the rank and file and your business agents to put together our opening position. We would like to be in a position to start direct negotiations with the company in mid-to-late August.
