St. Lucie County Contract Proposal Meeting

Blue Collar members at St. Lucie County will be holding a contract proposal meeting on Monday February 9th, 2015 at 4:30pm. The locatation of the meeting will be the International Longshoreman's Union Hall in Fort Pierce, FL. The contract with St. Lucie County is set to expire in the near future and an effort is being made to gather ideas and proposals from our members. This is one of the benefits of Union membership. Teamsters Local 769 members at the City of Fort Lauderdale ratified their new contract by a margin of 402 yes to 22 no votes. City of Fort Pierce Settlement

Teamsters Local 769 reaches grievance settlement on behalf of the City of Fort Pierce bargaining unit employees after one full day of arbitration. The settlement will require the City of Fort Pierce to pay all Teamsters bargaining unit employees a 2.8% wage increase retroactive to January 1, 2013. Teamster members in Fort Pierce have responsibilities which encompass a variety of infrastructure-related services including regularly scheduled maintenance and repair of all City owned facilities, vehicles, equipment, parks, rights-of-way, streets, drainage, and more. 3 Year Deal for IRC Blue Collar

The Indian River County Blue Collar Unit, which encompasses parks department, utilities, life guards, building maintenance, road and bridge employees and more, ratified a new 3 year contract on October 1st, 2013. The new contract guarantees an 8% wage increase over 3 years with a reopen for cost of living increases for the 2nd and 3rd year of the agreement.
