Drivers at Keolis Ratify First Contract

This past November, 76 bus drivers at Keolis Transit America Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida voted unanimously to become members of Teamsters Local 769. On Friday September 18, 2015 our new Teamsters brothers and sisters ratified their first contract. Among the list of improvements in their new collective bargaining agreement are improved seniority rights, a new grievance and arbitration procedure, a guarantee of hours of work, just cause language relating to discipline, wage increase, and many more. Victory for Dispatchers and Mechanics of Keolis Transit

Congratulation to our newest brothers and sisters! Today, May 6, 2015, the Dispatchers and Mechanics of Keolis Transit America Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida unanimous voted "YES" to join our Brothers and Sisters at Teamsters Local 769. The election was conducted by the National Labor relation Board. Six months earlier, on November 6, 2014, the Drivers at Keolis Transit voted to become Teamsters. 1st AmeriGas CSR Contract

On March 10, 2015, the Customer Service Representatives at AmeriGas in Broward voted unanimously to ratify their very first contract. Back in November of 2014, the CSR's had voted for Teamster representation at the Broward County facility. The main reasons were that they were looking to be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace and they were seeking the addition of the grievance procedure to ensure job security. Employees at Con-Way Freight in Miami voted to join the Teamsters yesterday and Teamsters Local 769 would like to congratulate our newest members. Victory at Amerigas Broward CSR

Another 769 organizing victory this month. This one at Amerigas CSR in Broward. Teamsters Local 769 would like to welcome our newest members who voted 6 to 1 for strong Teamsters representation. I.R.C.S.O. Lieutenants Ratify First Contract!

The Lieutenants at the Indian River County Sheriff's Office ratified their first ever collective bargaining agreement which guarantees a 3% wage increase for the first year of the contract. The Lieutenants at the Sheriff's Office only recently voted to join the Teamsters and according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, overall crime in the county dropped 4.3% in 2012 from the year before so the pay increase is well deserved. 3 Year Deal for IRC Blue Collar

The Indian River County Blue Collar Unit, which encompasses parks department, utilities, life guards, building maintenance, road and bridge employees and more, ratified a new 3 year contract on October 1st, 2013. The new contract guarantees an 8% wage increase over 3 years with a reopen for cost of living increases for the 2nd and 3rd year of the agreement. Business agent Steve Meyers says, "Congratulations to our Indian River County members, the pay increase is well deserved and overdue." Welcome Medics Ambulance

Teamsters Local # 769 would like to welcome Medics Ambulance of Dade County. Our new brothers and sisters have obtained their first contract and are now members of Teamsters Local 769 with David Renshaw as their business agent. This includes : full time and part time, ambulance drivers, EMT's, Paramedics, F.T.O 's. We currently represent (AMR) - American Medical Response in Dade county as well. Big Victory at Avis/Budget

Teamsters Local 769 is proud to announce another organizing victory. Yesterday an election was held for the Avis Budget Group at the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Airports. Of the 132 total employees Teamsters received 82 votes. The IAM (Machinist) got 2 and the company got 2. This election was not even close. We are proud to welcome these new members to Local 769. Local 769 has organized over 300 new members in the past 30 days. Now it is off to get strong agreements for all of these new members. Strong election results such as this make that job easier.…
