Golf Tournament Repeat

Everyone is a winner at this years Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. It was a win for everyone involved at the 2013 Teamsters Local 769 Golf Tournament which was held this past weekend, on October 5th, 2013. The weather was beautiful and the scores turned in by the teams proved that it was a great day for golf. The Palm-Aire Country Club served as hosts again for this years event and their Oaks course was truly enjoyable to play. Delegates from Teamsters Local 769 visit 2013 TNBC in Atlanta

In its 38th year now, the Teamsters National Black Caucus held it’s annual educational conference and banquet in Atlanta Georgia and representatives from Local 769 were in attendance. The event was held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta from August 14th-18th. Attending this year conference were Local 769 Vice President Woodrow Wilson, Trustees Derek Moore and Shirley Tarpley, and Retiree Committee Vice President Tyronne Brewster. The city of Atlanta served as a wonderful backdrop for this years event. Teamsters Local # 769 would like to welcome Medics Ambulance of Dade County. Our new brothers and sisters have obtained their first contract and are now members of Teamsters Local 769 with David Renshaw as their business agent. This includes : full time and part time, ambulance drivers, EMT's, Paramedics, F.T.O 's. We currently represent (AMR) - American Medical Response in Dade county as well. UPS Freight Contract Rejected In Separate Referendum June 26, 2013 The Teamsters Union announced today that a majority of UPS Teamsters have voted to approve a new five-year national contract that contains significant wage increases and other improvements. The vote on the contract, the largest collective bargaining agreement in North America, was 34,307 to 30,202The union also announced that UPS Freight Teamsters have rejected a proposed five-year national agreement with UPS Freight by a vote of 1,897 to 4,244.
