TNBC Delivers Joy to Children in Miami Gardens

As part of Crystal Lake Apartments Angel Tree Drive, the South Florida TNBC delivered toys to boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 18 on December 18th, 2015. Crystal Lake Apartments Assistant Community Director Kenisha Cliett helps organize this event which works hard to help many less fortunate families in our community who struggle to keep food on the table and shelter for their children. Historic Moment for South Florida TNBC

A milestone event for the South Florida chapter of the TNBC and a historic moment for Teamsters Local 769 occurred this past weekend. On Sunday, May 24, 2015 the very first South Florida TNBC Executive Board was sworn in and we are proud to officially announce the "South Florida Teamsters Nation Black Caucus". Teamsters Local 769 would like to establish a Teamsters National Black Caucus Chapter in our local. As some of you are aware, the TNBC's first official gathering was in Miami in 1971. The goal of the meeting was to bring about change and to educate. If you are interested in learning more about the caucus and becoming a member, please attend this preliminary meeting. Delegates from Teamsters Local 769 visit 2013 TNBC in Atlanta

In its 38th year now, the Teamsters National Black Caucus held it’s annual educational conference and banquet in Atlanta Georgia and representatives from Local 769 were in attendance. The event was held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta from August 14th-18th. Attending this year conference were Local 769 Vice President Woodrow Wilson, Trustees Derek Moore and Shirley Tarpley, and Retiree Committee Vice President Tyronne Brewster. The city of Atlanta served as a wonderful backdrop for this years event.
