2017 Steward Seminar

On Saturday May 20, 2017 in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Teamsters Local 769 conducted our 2017 Steward Seminar. Stewards came from all over South Florida to gather at the DoubleTree Hilton for in-depth training and instruction on subjects ranging from grievance procedure to legislative issues. The day began with President and Principal Officer Mike Scott welcoming all of the stewards who "are on the front lines of contract enforcement." Mike then welcomed Sean O'Brien, IBT Eastern Region Vice President , who spoke to the stewards about the challenges that face our Union and the coming negotiations at UPS. 29th International Convention Wrap-up

The 29th International Teamsters Convention was filled with many memorable moments and a clear path for the success of our Union was drawn into the future. Numerous resolutions were passed during the week as updates on many of the battles we are engaged in were discussed. Monroe County Food Drive

The Teamsters annual food drive in Monroe County was once again a great success. The success comes at the generosity of many members contributing non-perishable products. While all the Teamsters who participate in this success are significant, in this particular picture are three of the driving forces, Becky Roberts from the Sheriffs office, Charlie Pons from the city of Key West and Zach McCart from UPS.
