UAL Technicians Stand Up

In a continued effort to get the word out to the public and put the company on notice, Teamsters Local 769 members hold another system wide hand billing and picketing event at all the main station terminals. Local 769 Toy Drive Delivers

Thanks to all the brothers and sisters of Teamsters Local 769 who contributed toys for our 2013 Toy Drive. This year, toys were distributed throughout the entire region that Teamsters Local 769 represents as well as to children still suffering in the aftermath of the earthquakes in Haiti. Below is a photo taken at United Way of Dade county as Teamsters Local 769 (human rights commission) makes a delivery of the donated toys from our members. United Way of Broward County and United Way of West Palm Beach also received  toy donations from Teamsters Local 769.

Local 769 Gives a Gift of Hope

United Way of Broward County came by the Union Hall today to pick up their donated school supplies and toys for their toy drive. The donated supplies went to Sunland Park for early achievers and the program is called “Give a gift of hope”.  Sunland Park Early Achievers is an initiative focusing on intensive in-school and after school tutoring, family literacy, and parent support in an effort to improve third-grade reading success. One third of 3rd graders in Broward County can not read at the 3rdgrade level. These children are 50% more likely to drop out of high-school.  Donations of the…

At a recent conference, Teamsters Local 769 Business Agent David Renshaw was introduced to a wonderful way of giving back to our brave soldiers.  Those who have and those who continue to serve the United States of America in all branches of the armed forces.  The organization is called iPods for wounded veterans and it was formed in August of 2010 by Paul Cardello, a US Air Force Veteran who also retired after 35 years as a Teamster from TLU 170 of Worcester, Massachusetts.
