City of Fort Pierce Settlement

Teamsters Local 769 reaches grievance settlement on behalf of the City of Fort Pierce bargaining unit employees after one full day of arbitration. The settlement will require the City of Fort Pierce to pay all Teamsters bargaining unit employees a 2.8% wage increase retroactive to January 1, 2013. Teamster members in Fort Pierce have responsibilities which encompass a variety of infrastructure-related services including regularly scheduled maintenance and repair of all City owned facilities, vehicles, equipment, parks, rights-of-way, streets, drainage, and more. IBT Conducts TLA at Our Miami Hall

From March 11-14, 2014, Teamsters Local 769 hosted a Teamsters Leadership Academy (TLA) where we welcomed business agents and officers from locals across the nation for advanced training and education. The focus of the course was on the legal aspects of collective bargaining in private and public sectors. An offshoot of the national Helmets to Hardhats program, the Teamsters Military Assistance Program (TMAP), provides disability assistance for all military veterans and job placement opportunities for veterans in the construction industry. Brewery and Soft Drink Workers Conference 2014 Annual Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
