Miami Transfer Ratifies NEW 3 Year Contract

On Monday November 16, 2015, Teamsters Local 769 members from Miami Transfer ratified a new 3 year contract. Miami Transfer has been in business since 1896 and along with Florida Rigging they do a lot of work for Florida Power and Light. They also do a lot of rigging work for Pike and other utility pole companies throughout the Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach county areas.

Among other contract improvements in the new 3 year agreement, members will receive pay increases of three (3) dollars over the 3 years and also an increase of ten (10) dollars into their pension fund.

“Congratulations to all of our union brothers at Miami Transfer.”, said Teamsters Local 769 business agent John Sherman. “…and special thanks to my shop steward Gary Adams for doing a great job, not only in assisting with negotiations but also as a shop steward for many years.” Gary has been with Miami Transfer and a Teamster for over 18 years.
