As your holiday shopping enters full swing, keep in mind that Teamsters Local 769 will again be collecting toys for children in need this year. We will be distributing those collected through programs in Dade, Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach Counties. The following flyer can be posted on Teamsters Local 769 approved job site bulletin boards and distributed to all members. UPS Freight Teamsters Ratify Company’s Final Contract Offer

Workers at UPS Freight represented by the Teamsters Union have ratified a new five-year agreement that was the company’s last, best and final offer, averting a national strike. Members approved the contract by a 77 percent to 23 percent margin at local union meetings held from Nov. 7 until today. The agreement covers approximately 11,600 workers at the company. The final vote was 6,935 in favor and 2,067 opposed with 84 percent of eligible members voting.

Local 769 Responds to Hurricane Michael

Following Hurricane Michael, Teamsters Answer the Call for Action Following the devastation of Hurricane Michael, Teamsters formed a disaster relief labor coalition with the Florida AFL-CIO to provide assistance to residents of the Florida Panhandle. IBT Disaster Relief has taking the leading role in setting up the logistics for relief supply distribution in the region. The labor coalition set up distribution points at local schools and other locations, and trucks began driving into the affected communities today to locate residents and get them essential items that they need to get through the aftermath of the storm.
