CAL/UAL Mediation Update

Attention all s-CAL & s-UAL Technicians & Related. Teamsters Local 769 Business Agent Tommy Esposito, would like to urge everyone to read the press releases from the Teamsters Airline Division, at the following links. Decision on Airline Medical Grievances

Read the newest Mechanics Dispatch for details on the outcome of the second part of the Medical Grievance that dealt with our s-UAL Brothers! You may say to yourself, "so, what does that have to do with me as a s-CAL Member, we did not get a favorable decision to our grievance"? As all of you are aware, in mediation Medical Benefits are one of the bigger economic items in discussion. This decision secures the intent of the language on the s-UAL side and helps with our arguments to maintain benefit levels for everyone!!!

Air Canada Teamsters Ratify New Contract

Air Canada today announced it has received confirmation from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters representing the airline's U.S.-based workforce that a new collective agreement reached February 4, 2015 has been ratified. The new agreement is in effect until June 30, 2019. “We are pleased that our members at Air Canada have approved a strong contract that keeps their jobs secure and raises workplace standards at the airline,” said Capt. Local 769 Stands Up For Airline Workers

TEAMSTERS LOCAL  769  shows solidarity and supported the International Federation of Transport Workers The ITF LATAM Airlines Network of Unions would especially like to thank the ITF Americas office and Teamsters Local 769 of Miami for their support in Miami this weekend.  Teamsters are members of the ITF, the International Federation of Transport Workers, representing 4.5 million transport workers around the world. The ITF and Teamsters Local 769 shows their solidarity and gave support this past weekend to LAN Express flight attendants in Chile and LAN Peru mechanics. Teamsters and union representatives from South America passed out leaflets in Miami to over 7300 potential passengers warning them about…

Local 769 Stewards Attend “Go-Team” Training

On October 21st and 22nd, members of Local 769 attended the NTSB Accident "Go-Team" training the IBT/Airline Division hosted last week at Local 19 in Houston for Aircraft Technicians. Our Local had 4  Stewards attend, Chief Steward Brian Wooley, & Stewards Gary Kagel, Scott Lyons & Winnie Tolentino. As part of the TAMC ongoing commitment to Aviation Safety, the two day training also included the Blood-borne Pathogen training required to be on site as a party to an investigation. The training was provided by John Goglia, former NTSB Investigator and Enjoli DeGrasse from IBT Health and Safety.
