To All Global Crossing Pilots:

We are sending this email to our fellow pilots to let you know we have been meeting over the past few months with the leadership at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) Local 769 in Miami, FL. With their able assistance, we have been planning a Union Organizing campaign to elect a strong, unified pilots’ union at Global Crossings Airlines. Standing together, we can do this! Standing together, we can bargain with management on equal terms for a legally binding contract that addresses our issues and protects our interests. Standing together, we will also work proactively
and cooperatively with the Company to secure a professional, safe, and profitable career airline for Global X’s employees.

In the coming days and weeks, we will all be learning more about the Teamsters and IBT Local 769, who they are and how they can help us make the changes we need and have earned. Please check your U.S. mail and inbox often for the latest information about our campaign. For starters, we know that the Teamsters is the most powerful union in North America. It’s 1.3 million members who stand together in support of each other and will do the same for us. Their membership includes airline employees from all classes and crafts in the industry, both “above and below the wing.” The Teamsters, no matter the size of the represented group, stand behind each individual unit’s needs and provide the necessary resources and power at the bargaining table. This kind of support is what each Global X Pilot can expect when our negotiating committee bargains with management to obtain our first contract. To find out more information about the Teamsters, visit: http://teamster.org, and for more information on IBT Local 769 and our campaign, go to www.TeamstersLocal769.org/GlobalX

Attached below are two letters: one that was sent today to our Director of Flight Operations by IBT Local 769 and the other from us. Below is a link (same as current QR in circulation) to provide us with your information as we have requested. We thank those of you who have already done so. After we receive your mailing address, we will send you an Authorization for Representation Card in the U.S. mail. Please fill out, sign, date and return to IBT Local 769 as soon as possible, the authorization card includes prepaid postage. Returning these cards is necessary and will serve to demonstrate the level of interest to hold a union election at Global X. The cards will be kept secure by IBT Local 769 employees–the Company will never know who did or who did not return an authorization card.

Once we receive the required amount of authorization cards—at least from 50% of the pilot group—the Teamster will submit them to the National Mediation Board (NMB) and petition the NMB to hold an election. The NMB is the federal agency created by the Railway Labor Act, which is the federal law that governs labor relations in the railroad and airline industries in the U.S. The NMB will go through a verification process and, if all requirements are met, they will schedule and administer a secret ballot election. The vote count will occur at the NMB headquarters in Washington DC. Only the NMB will know how you voted; no one else will ever know unless you tell them—not the Company and not the Teamsters! We hope you will join us in standing together to build our own pilot union here at Global X. We will continue to stay in touch with you and be a source of information as we move forward together.

Fly Safe and Stay Unified,
The Global X Pilot Organizing Committee
