Secretary-Treasurer
Steve was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1970 and moved to Vero Beach in 1972 where he continues to reside today. Steve is married and has two adult children.
In 1990, he began his career at the Water Treatment Plant for the City of Vero Beach. He went on to become a state certified Water Plant Operator holding a class A license. In 1996 he took on the challenge of running for Shop Steward for his division at the Water Plant. He was elected as the Chief Shop Steward in 1998 for the City Bargaining Unit.
In November of 2002 former President Bob Belans hired him to be a Business agent for local 769. As a business agent, Steve is responsible for representing members in the public (PERC) and private sector (NLRB). His duties include organizing new members, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, representing employees in grievances and arbitrations.
Steve was elected to serve on the executive board of Local 769 as Recording Secretary in January of 2018.
On March 1, 2024, Steve was appointed to serve as Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 769.
