Bob Grecol

Bob Grecol was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where he learned early that family is everything. Raised by parents who often worked three jobs just to put food on the table, Bob grew up watching the meaning of sacrifice, commitment, and solidarity lived out every day. His parents taught him that you always look out for your brothers and sisters first. Values that would later become the foundation of his life as a Teamster.

At just 16 years old, Bob began his working career in a union environment with UFCW, where he quickly understood the life-changing importance of a living wage, strong healthcare, and a secure pension. Those early lessons shaped his belief in the labor movement and taught him that a good union contract is the key to dignity both on and off the job.

After spending time in the real estate industry, Bob felt the pull toward something more meaningful and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. It was there that he began the next major chapter of his life, joining his second organized employer, UPS, in January 2001. What started as a job quickly became a calling.

Over the next 23 years, Bob became a pillar of representation at the West Palm Beach building. As a Shop Steward, he fought relentlessly to defend the contract, protect workers’ rights, and ensure his fellow Teamsters had someone they could count on. To Bob, the members he represented weren’t just coworkers, they became his family. His drive to serve was a natural extension of the work ethic his parents instilled in him and the values he learned from the union halls of his youth.

Bob’s dedication and leadership led to his appointment as a Trustee on the Executive Board of Teamsters Local 769, where he continued advocating for members across South Florida with the same honesty, grit, and loyalty that defined his steward years.

In September 2023, Bob made the decision to leave UPS and commit himself fully to the work he believes he was meant to do, serving the brothers and sisters of Local 769 as a Business Agent. Today, Bob brings his lifetime of union values, decades of UPS experience, and deep pride in working-class solidarity to every grievance, contract fight, and jobsite he enters.

Bob often shares a message that captures the heart of who he is and what he stands for:

“We together, from the Rank and File, to the Stewards, to the Business Agents, and the leadership of our President Josh Zivalich and the Executive Board, will continue to grow this GREAT Local. I will always remember it was my Family, my Brothers and Sisters who put me here, and it is them I will serve.”

From Cleveland to West Palm Beach, from UFCW to UPS, from Steward to Business Agent, Bob Grecol’s journey is one defined by loyalty, service, and a lifelong commitment to the union family that shaped him.
