Tommy Esposito

Tommy Esposito is a third-generation Teamster with over 41 years of experience in the aviation industry. He began his career in 1984 as a ramp agent with Piedmont Airlines at LaGuardia Airport. In 1986, he advanced to the role of Aircraft Technician with New York Air, also at LaGuardia. When several airlines merged, Tommy remained with the surviving carrier, Continental Airlines, and continued his tenure through its merger with United Airlines in 2012.

In 1987, Tommy relocated to Orlando, joining six other technicians as the facility reopened. What began as a small line station eventually grew into a two-hangar maintenance operation employing over 800 technicians. During this time, Tommy played a key role in helping Continental’s technicians organize with the Teamsters, leading to a successful unionization effort in 1990.

Following that victory, Tommy was elected Chief Shop Steward, a position he held from 1990 to 2011. He then took on the role of Business Agent with Teamsters Local 769, where he continues to bring decades of industry knowledge and leadership to support and advocate for his fellow Teamsters.
