Teamsters Local 769 supports legislation to correct the federal classification of 9-1-1 professionals by reclassifying them as Protective Service Occupations as opposed to administrative/clerical occupations. We need your help. Momentum is building in Congress for a simple legislative fix. We are seeking the assistance of our members and others to TAKE ACTION and ask your elected officials to Support the 9-1-1 SAVES Act.
A New Bipartisan Senate Bill has been introduced and we are asking ALL of our members to support the 9-1-1 SAVES Act, which would appropriately reclassify public safety telecommunications workers with other “Protective” occupations (as opposed to administrative/clerical occupations) in the Standard Occupational Classification. Now it’s time for a full-court press on Congress.
