The weather couldn’t have been more perfect on Saturday October 10, 2015. Friends of Labor had come from miles around to pack the Palm Aire Country Club in Pompano Beach Florida for the Annual Teamsters Local 769 Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. Each year local 769 organizes the event to raise money for our scholarship fund which benefits the children of our members who are high school seniors entering college.
Teamster parents work hard to provide for their children and funding for a good education is a concern for all who have children nearing the end of high school. Making sure Teamster children grow up receiving a good education is a goal of all Teamsters and the that is the very reason the Teamsters Local 769 Scholarship Fund is there to help.
Many thanks to all who sponsored and attended this year’s Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. We hope you will join us next year for what is always a fun day. In the meantime, spread the word about the Scholarship Fund to all of your coworkers with children entering college. It’s just another way that Teamsters Local 769 members stand up for their brothers and sisters and their families.
