At the General Membership Meeting on January 16, 2014, President and Principal Officer Mike Scott introduced the members in attendance to Teamsters Local 769’s  two newest business agents, Mike Cortez and Randy Pines.
Mike Cortez is a 38 UPS veteran with more than 28 years as steward. Mike has also worked as an organizer on numerous organizing and political campaigns.
Randy Pines has been a Teamster for nearly 30 years, coming to us from Joint Council 75. Over his years as a Teamster he has served as an Organizer, Political Liaison & Business Agent.
These additions strengthen what is already one of the finest lineups in the war on workers. “We ask that the stewards work closely with their business agents to help make this a seamless transition.”, says President Mike Scott. Â Those workplaces that have a new business agent will meet their new agent very soon, if you already haven’t. Many members will not see any change but you will have your chance to meet our new agents at one of our many events in 2014 or you can join us at next months General Membership Meeting.
