City of Fort Pierce Workers Ratify 1st Year Increase of 8%

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, public sector members at the City of Fort Pierce ratified a new 3 year contract which includes an 8% increase for all workers in the first year of the agreement and additional incentive pay increases for sanitation workers. The agreement also includes reopeners for wages during the second and third years, so this contract ensures that these essential workers will be compensated for their efforts now and into the future. City of Fort Pierce Settlement

Teamsters Local 769 reaches grievance settlement on behalf of the City of Fort Pierce bargaining unit employees after one full day of arbitration. The settlement will require the City of Fort Pierce to pay all Teamsters bargaining unit employees a 2.8% wage increase retroactive to January 1, 2013. Teamster members in Fort Pierce have responsibilities which encompass a variety of infrastructure-related services including regularly scheduled maintenance and repair of all City owned facilities, vehicles, equipment, parks, rights-of-way, streets, drainage, and more.
