2020 Teamsters Local 769 Toy Drive

While this year may be a bit unusual and you may be doing all of your holiday shopping online this season, remember to pick up and extra toy for those less fortunate. Teamsters Local 769 will again be collecting toys for children in need this year and we will be distributing those toys collected through programs in Dade, Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach Counties. First Transit Para-transit Drivers WIN!

  Workers at First Transit in Broward County  voted by an overwhelming 82.5% for Teamster representation on Friday April 8th, 2016. The bargaining unit, which consist of nearly 120 para-transit drivers, is contracted by Broward County to provide services to primarily elderly and special needs citizens who need transportation to medical appointments, shopping and other essential locations. Local 769 Toy Drive Delivers

Thanks to all the brothers and sisters of Teamsters Local 769 who contributed toys for our 2013 Toy Drive. This year, toys were distributed throughout the entire region that Teamsters Local 769 represents as well as to children still suffering in the aftermath of the earthquakes in Haiti. Below is a photo taken at United Way of Dade county as Teamsters Local 769 (human rights commission) makes a delivery of the donated toys from our members. United Way of Broward County and United Way of West Palm Beach also received  toy donations from Teamsters Local 769.
