Tommy Esposito

Tommy Esposito is a third-generation Teamster and has been in the aviation industry for 29 years. Starting his career with Piedmont Airlines in 1984 working as a ramp agent at LaGuardia Airport, in 1986 Tommy continued his career at LaGuardia, accepting a position with New York Air as an Aircraft Technician. When several airlines were merged together, he decided to ride out the mergers and stay with surviving carrier Continental Airlines.

In 1987 Tommy made the decision to move to Orlando when the facility re-opened with 6 other Technicians. As the small line station grew to a two-hangar maintenance facility with 500 Technicians, Tommy became involved in helping the Technicians at Continental organize with the Teamsters to form a Unionized workforce in 1990.

After succeeding in becoming Unionized, Tommy was elected and served as Chief Shop Steward from 1990 to 2011, when he accepted a Business Agent position with Local 769. Tommy brings his many years of airline industry experience and knowledge to the Local where he continues to fight for the Teamster brothers and sisters.
