The Teamsters Local 769 Annual Holiday Picnic was this past Saturday, December 7th and a wonderful time was had by all. The Indrio Road Park in Fort Pierce served as the location again this year and while the skies were a bit cloudy, the weather cooperated nicely.
Santa Claus made a rare South Florida appearance and face painting, pony rides and bounce houses had every child smiling. There were plenty of happy adults as well. Brothers and sisters from Local 769 came from near and far to share good food and good cheer. Many brought toys in support of our Toy Drive and members made food donations to the Treasure Coast Food Bank. We will continue collecting toys for our toy drive up through the General Membership Meeting on December 19th, 2013 so you may drop toys off at the hall or get them to your business agent before that date.
We hope everyone had a great time and judging by the smiling faces, we are confident they did. Happy Holidays to all of our brothers and sisters. The strength and solidarity of our members is what makes Teamsters Local 769 great!
