On December 3rd and 4th, 2013, Â delegates of Teamsters Local 769 attended a Teamster Leadership Academy titled “The Social Art of Educating Members” in Montebello, CA. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Training and Development Department created the program and it was hosted by Teamsters Local 986. The focus of the event was on communicating with Teamster brothers and sisters utilizing all of the latest means of technology and social media outlets to keep members better informed and educated on issues affecting today’s workers.
As always, Local 769 is focused on improving resources and communications with our members and we already utilize many of these social media outlets. Our Facebook page continues to offer information and event dates to members and our Twitter and LinkedIn pages offer regular updates as well. It is easier than ever to stay in touch with your union and an educated and informed Teamster is a true warrior for labor.
